Principal Message
🐾 Hello EVE Families!
Happy Sunday, EVE Families! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! We have another great week ahead at East Valley Elementary, and I want to share a few important reminders to help our Jaguars have a successful week of learning. Thank you for your continued partnership and support!
👀 Vision and Hearing Screenings
This week, students will participate in vision and hearing screenings during their scheduled library specialist time. If your child wears glasses, please make sure they bring them to school each day, as they will need them for the vision screening. Thank you for helping us ensure our students are ready to participate!
📅 Reminder: No School for Students on Monday, October 19th
There will be no school for students on Monday, October 19th, as our staff will be participating in a professional development day. We look forward to welcoming our Jaguars back to school on Tuesday, October 20th!
⏰ The Importance of Being Ready to Learn
Regular attendance and arriving at school on time make a big difference in your child's learning and success. We want every Jaguar to start their day feeling prepared, confident, and ready to learn!
Please help your child arrive at school with enough time to eat breakfast, put away their belongings, and be seated in the classroom with their materials ready to go by the second bell.
Our school start times are:
Mondays: First bell at 9:50 a.m.
Tuesday–Friday: First bell at 8:50 a.m.
Arriving before the first bell gives students the time they need to enjoy breakfast and settle into their classrooms without feeling rushed. When students are ready to learn at the start of the day, they can make the most of every learning opportunity!
❤️🖤 Thank You, EVE Families!
Thank you for all you do to support your children and our school community. Your partnership helps us create a school where every Jaguar feels welcomed, supported, and ready to grow. Together, we will continue to help our students LEARN, LEAD, and ROAR! 🐾
Have a wonderful week!

Counselor TOSA News
🐾 Krish’s Counseling News: Hello EVE Jaguars! 💙
Hello EVE Families! 💙
This month’s Counseling News focuses on helping our students build communication, problem-solving, empathy, and conflict-resolution skills.
💬 When your child shares a story about something that happened at school, try asking open-ended questions such as:
“What happened next?”
“How did that make you feel?”
“What do you think the other person was thinking?”
These questions help children think through situations, consider different perspectives, and develop stronger problem-solving skills.
⭐ SEL Spotlight: Kelso’s Choice
Students are learning strategies for handling small problems independently, including:
Go to another game
Talk it out
Share and take turns
Ignore it
Walk away
Tell them to stop
Apologize
Make a deal
Wait and cool off

Thank you for partnering with us to help our Jaguars grow into kind, confident, and problem-solving students! ❤️🖤

EVE Parent Pick-Up & Drop-Off: Parking, Bus Expectations, and Procedures
This is a friendly reminder about our morning drive-up drop-off procedures to help ensure a safe and efficient arrival for all students.
The drive-up lane is designed forquick drop-off only, where students are able to exit the vehicle independently. To keep the line moving smoothly and to reduce safety concerns, we ask that families follow these expectations:
Please remain in your vehicle at all times while in the drive-up lane.
Vehicles should not park, turn off engines, or stop for extended periods in the drop-off line.
Students should be ready to exit promptly once the vehicle reaches the drop-off area.
If your child needs assistance getting out of the car or walking to the building, please park in the lot and escort them safely to the entrance.
These procedures are important to minimize delays and, most importantly, to keep all students and families safe during our busiest arrival time.
Thank you for your cooperation and support as we work together to maintain a smooth and safe morning routine for everyone. 🐾
