Flu and Other Illness Information:

Dear Parents:
There is currently a high rate of flu and other illnesses in our valley. Please watch your children for symptoms and keep them home if they are experiencing fever, body aches, headache, excessive coughing, stomach ache, vomiting or diarrhea. In addition, keep your child home for 24 hours after symptoms resolve. Please call your child’s school to report their illness if they stay home from school. This would also be a good time to encourage frequent hand washing.

2019-2021 Educational Support & Operations LEVY FACTS

The EAST VALLEY SCHOOL DISTRICT is requesting a three year replacement levy on the upcoming February ballot. As promised when we sought support for the 2015 Construction Bond, the amount of money collected will reduce each year over the course of the levy. Levy brochures have been mailed to all East Valley addresses and residents should expect a newsletter revisiting these facts this week. Please review this brochure for more details. State Capital Budget Passes - East Valley High School Project Back On-Track

We are thrilled to announce that last night we received confirmation that the State Legislature passed the Capital Budget. As you may know, the hold on the Capital Budget stalled our East Valley High School Modernization and Expansion project. With this exciting news, we are preparing to move forward with putting our high school project out to bid and anticipate construction to begin soon. EVHS Lockdown Update

The previously reported EVHS lockdown has been lifted as of 12:30 pm and school operations have returned to normal.

EVHS was placed in a precautionary lockdown today, Friday February 2nd, beginning at around 11:25 am, as administrators investigated a student situation.  Students were safe and secure in their classrooms during this time. As a reminder, during any lockdown, no one will be allowed entrance to the school.

Surrounding schools were also initially placed in lockdown as a precautionary measure, but quickly returned to their normal schedule.
