Moxee Elementary and East Valley Central have been selected to participate in the 2019 Student Travel Survey by the Washington State Departments of Transportation and Health. Parents of children in K – 8th grade may get a call to take the short survey. We encourage parents to participate, as the results will help improve student transportation. However, if you do not want to be called, please contact the Department of Health at 1-833-256-4654 and leave your phone number and name of your child’s school to remove yourself from the contact list.

Attention East Valley Families – After looking at a variety of options to meet the state’s requirements, the East Valley School District Board of Directors has decided to extend the 2018-2019 school-year to make up for lost instructional time due to our snow days this winter. Please take this quick communications survey to share your feedback and ideas for the future. This survey will close on Tuesday, April 30th. Click on the title to be directed to the survey.

At the end of the survey you will be asked to add your email address to be entered in our drawing for one of the following prizes: Family 4-pack of one hour jump passes and socks at Get Air of Yakima, 1 of two - $25 gift certificates for El Mirador,
1 of three vouchers for a large pizza at Papa Murphy's in Terrace Heights or a $35 gift certificate for a cooking class with Healthy Eats Nutritions Services.
**All of the prizes being awarded will be donated and presented to the winners by these local businesses. Prizes will be awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis once notification has been sent to winners in the first week of May. **

Recently school districts in our area have been experiencing increased numbers of absences due to an influenza like illness. Since the flu can be very contagious and is a potentially serious illness, we have implemented steps for controlling the spread in our district.
