and majored in Elementary Education. She began her teaching career in the Yakima School District, followed by the last five years spent teaching third and fourth grade at Apple Valley Elementary for the West Valley School District. During her time at West Valley, she obtained a Master’s Degree in Education Administration from Central Washington University. She believes her administrative internship, involvement on various district and school-wide committees and teams, and success she had within the classroom environment prepared her for the role of Assistant Principal. She is eager to work with her building principal and help lead and continue building upon the amazing work that is happening at Moxee Elementary School.
Mrs. Tejeda and her husband, Cristian, have a one-year old son and two dogs. They enjoy traveling and seeing new places, as well as spending time with their families.
Mrs. Tejeda says, “I am thrilled and humbled to have been chosen to join the Moxee Elementary team and serve the stakeholders of this community. I look forward to a wonderful year ahead!”
