East Valley Secures Grants for Accessible Playground Equipment
The East Valley School District is excited to announce that we have been awarded grant funds to purchase accessible playground equipment and surfaces for all three of our elementary schools.
An accessible playground is designed to be inclusive for children of all abilities, featuring equipment and surfaces that accommodate physical, sensory, and cognitive disabilities. These playgrounds ensure everyone can play together, promoting social inclusion and equal opportunities for fun and exploration.
Installation of the accessible playground equipment
will be completed fall 2024.
Grant info: ADA Equal Access Grant - $100,000 for Terrace Heights Elementary and Healthy Kids, Healthy Schools Grant - $200,000 for East Valley Elementary and Moxee Elementary.
