East Valley Elementary News

  • Dear Parents/Guardians

The testing window for the Measurements of Student Progress (MSP) is April 24 - through May 30.  As partners, we’d like you to join us in encouraging our students to do their best and bring a positive attitude to this task.  Students should apply full effort to each and every test question so that we can accurately measure their progress.  Please be sure that your child gets a good night’s sleep and starts their day with a healthy breakfast.

It is important to remember that this test represents progress toward a higher standard of achievement and is among the most challenging ever given in the State of Washington.  It is also important to keep in mind, that this is one measurement of your child’s learning.  These individual results and our school results will be part of the information we use in planning our learning focus at East Valley Elementary next year.

Testing will take place beginning in the morning at 9:15 and last until all students have a chance to finish.  Please make sure your child arrives at school on time and schedule any appointments on days they are not being tested.

Thank you for continuing to partner with us to make sure your child is successful.  Please let us know if there is anything we can do to better support your child. We want your child to leave East Valley Elementary with a solid foundation of skills and a future full of opportunities and success
